Mesotherapy in Bayside, Melbourne

Mesotherapy skin treatment is a modality that uses clinical grade actives and extracts to rejuvenate the skin, reduce hyperpigmentation, restore the skin barrier, treat dehydration, stimulate hair growth, diminish cellulite and assist with localised fat reduction. In short, mesotherapy has the potential to treat most skin concerns.

Mesotherapy treatment is also known as ‘skin-prick rejuvenation’, as it involves pricking the skin with tiny needles. Mesotherapy injections can help give your skin the boost it needs to look brighter and feel firmer, as well as fade the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Mesotherapy can instantly improve dull, tired looking skin by boosting sluggish blood circulation, aiding the body to flush out ageing toxins and free radicals.

There are four different types of mesotherapy:

  • Fat dissolving
  • Skin tightening
  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Hair loss

How Does it Work?

Mesotherapy is performed by injecting a carefully selected combination of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and amino acids, designed to rejuvenate the skin and scalp.

Tiny superficial injections penetrate the skin barrier and introduce the cocktail to the deeper skin where it is most effective in promoting the production of collagen and elastin for an anti-aging boost. At the same time, the punctures stimulate the skin’s metabolism, enhancing healing and circulation.

This treatment can be done anywhere on the body and also on the scalp. Popular areas are the face, neck, chest, hands and scalp.

Types of Mesotherapy Skin Treatment

  • Fat dissolving – When injected into targeted treatment areas, fat dissolving injections stimulate the breakdown and elimination of fat cells through the body’s natural processes.
  • Skin rejuvenation – Skin rejuvenation mesotherapy increases production of collagen and elastin, helping to increase firmness, brightness and hydration of the skin.
  • Skin tightening – Skin tightening mesotherapy stimulates the production of collagen for tighter, younger looking skin.
  • Hair loss – Hair loss mesotherapy can be used on the scalp to improve blood circulation and boost hair follicle growth.

Our doctors like to use the unique Nappage technique that involves injecting micro droplets of anti-wrinkle solution into the skin to give an overall tight and lifted appearance of the face.

Similarly, skin boosters can be injected via mesotherapy throughout the skin to evenly plump and hydrate the skin. This mesotherapy face treatment can be beneficial for achieving a plumped effect.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mesotherapy is an effective treatment that gives slower but sustained results over a number of sessions. Effectiveness of a treatment depends on the individual, which is why a consultation prior is very important.

3 to 5 sessions are typically recommended, but this can depend on the specific type of mesotherapy treatment as well as your individual factors. Initial corrective treatment is done over 3 sessions, scheduled one month apart. Maintenance sessions for mesotherapy fat reduction or skin rejuvenation are then scheduled 3 to 4 times per year.

Mesotherapy skin treatment causes minimal discomfort, but if you’re concerned about pain, ice packs and numbing cream are available.

As mesotherapy uses plant and organic extracts, the risk of allergy is low, but it is still possible. If you suffer from allergies, your doctor may recommend a skin prick test before commencing the full treatment.

You may experience pin prick marks for few hours after treatment, as well as minor swelling and soreness. Small bruises may last between 5 to 10 days.

Before and after photos are always taken, and a complimentary follow up review is conducted with our doctor to determine if your goals have been achieved.
